Iron County is full of natural beauty and recreation. It has over 2,000 lakes and 900 miles of rivers. Swim, boat, fish, or snowmobile your heart out. We are the fourth largest county in the state by sqaure miles but its population is just slightly more than 13,000 people. You will find a larger wildlife count than people. There is only two stop lights in the county so you will be away from the hustle and bustle.
Iron County is located in the south central and western section of the state of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, bordered by Wisconsin to the south.
